What Donations Are Used For ?
SAG is seeking community support to help care for our region’s seniors in the below areas.
Essential Personal Care Items
We collect essential personal care items and clothing for our senior community. The current needs in the
community are personal care items like soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, wash clothes,
deposable underwear and clothing.
Medical Equipment
We would like to start purchasing used and new medical equipment be able to loan wheelchairs, canes, medical
beds, walkers, and earring aids to seniors in need.
Education/ Training
SAG will partner with businesses in the community to educate seniors on how to use the internet, avoid
scammers and assist seniors who would like to be employed, with resumes, mock interviews and transportation
to the interview.
We would also help any senior that needs support with leaving a legacy for their family; by partnering with
lawyers who can provide legal assistance to assistance with Wills, Living Trust, and Beneficiary designations.
Local Events
SAG would like to participate in all local events, as well as coordinate events with the city to help establish
healthy, active seniors. Having game nights, line dancing, senior sports games and talent shows will encourage
our seniors to be engaged with the community.
Supplies for Home Care Workers
The home care workers who provide essential services to homebound seniors in our region require masks and
gloves in order to provide care. The agencies in the community who employ these workers are running low or
are completely out of latex/medical gloves and masks. If you have any unopened boxes of gloves or unused
masks that you would like to donate.
