response, volunteer transportation, and shared rides—we can enhance mobility for those who no
longer drive. This approach expands access to health care providers, healthy food, and community
events, especially in rural areas where essential destinations may be far away. Providing
transportation for medical treatment to low-income, elderly, and disabled patients is not only cost-
effective but also significantly improves their quality of life. Older adults in rural regions face unique
